Neatfile uses a small set of cookies to sign administrators in, keep secure checkout working and remember a pricing preference. No advertising cookies are used, and any non-essential cookie runs only with your consent.
01What cookies areSmall files a site stores in your browser to make it work and remember choices.
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies such as local storage work in the same way. Neatfile keeps its use of them deliberately small and does not use advertising cookies.
02Strictly necessary cookiesNeeded to sign in, keep the admin session and pass secure checkout safely.
These are required for the service to function and are always on:
- An administrator session cookie that keeps a signed-in admin authenticated. It is HTTP-only and expires after 8 hours.
- Security cookies set during checkout by our payment processor, Stripe, to complete payment safely and prevent fraud.
- A short-lived preference value that remembers your monthly or yearly pricing toggle within a visit.
Because these are strictly necessary, they do not require consent, but you can still block cookies in your browser settings if you accept that parts of the service may stop working.
03Functional and analytics cookiesAny non-essential cookie runs only with your consent, and none are enabled by default.
We do not load non-essential analytics, personalisation or advertising cookies by default. If we ever introduce optional analytics to understand how the service is used, it will run only after you agree, you will be able to decline without losing access, and this page will be updated to name the provider and purpose before it goes live.
04Third-party cookiesOnly our payment processor sets cookies, and only to complete payment securely.
The only third party that may set cookies through Neatfile is Stripe, our payment processor, during checkout and billing management. Stripe uses them to process payments securely and to detect fraud, under its own privacy notice.
05Controlling cookiesManage or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Every major browser lets you view, delete and block cookies through its settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop parts of the service, such as admin sign-in and checkout, from working.
